A veteran Israeli online "virtual mall" — auctions, group-buying and breadth-first electronics retail — now a channel inside the Mini Line / A.L.M appliance group. A small legacy player, not a KSP-tier chain.
Private · Online consumer-electronics, computing & general-merchandise marketplace · smaller legacy "virtual mall" channel of the Mini Line / A.L.M electronics group
P1000 (Hebrew: פי 1000 / "פי אלף"; also styled P1000) is an Israeli online marketplace — marketed as a "virtual mall" (קניון וירטואלי) — that sells consumer electronics, computers, home appliances and general merchandise through a mix of fixed-price listings, public auctions (מכירות פומביות), group-buying and outlet clearances. It trades under the legal entity פי אלף שותפות מוגבלת ("P1000 Limited Partnership") and operates from the Segula industrial zone in Petach Tikva. The operator claims activity "since 1999" and joined Israel's Public Trust (אמון הציבור) consumer body in January 2008. Unlike pure-play computing e-tailers such as KSP and Ivory, P1000 is a breadth-first marketplace rather than a specialist electronics chain — and since July 2020 it has been operated inside the A.L.M electronics-retail chain of the Mini Line import group.

Founding and ownership
P1000 predates most of Israel's current e-commerce field: its operator dates activity to 1999, and the site had enough track record to join the Public Trust consumer body in January 2008. It was long run under Mini Line, the Petach Tikva group best known as the official importer-distributor of AEG, Electrolux and (historically) Samsung home appliances and Fujitsu air-conditioning. In July 2020 Mini Line moved P1000 into its own retail arm, the A.L.M electricity-and-electronics chain, to revive an e-commerce channel it described as neglected; at that point P1000 was booking roughly NIS 20 million in annual sales with about 20 employees, 13 of whom transferred to A.L.M (Globes, 2020).
The parent group's ownership has since been turbulent. In February 2022 supermarket giant Shufersal agreed to buy 60% of Mini Line at a NIS 936 million valuation (Calcalist / Ynet, 2022) — but that deal collapsed under regulatory pressure and was cancelled, with Shufersal later paying a ~NIS 1.5 million settlement to the Competition Authority (ICE, 2022). By 2025, Suari's Allied sold its ~40% stake, leaving Mini Line held by Avi Asher (~80%) and Bank Leumi's Lumi Partners (~20%) at a valuation of roughly NIS 200 million — down more than 70% from the 2022 figure, after Samsung shifted distribution away from the group (Calcalist, 2025).
What they do today
P1000 functions as a general-merchandise marketplace with an electronics and computing core. Beyond straight retail listings, it leans on the sales mechanics that distinguish it from conventional e-tailers: timed public auctions, group-buying campaigns and an outlet/overstock channel. The site markets itself on official-importer sourcing, a 14-day money-back guarantee and live customer service. Its catalogue spans laptops and peripherals, smartphones, TVs and home appliances through to furniture, sport and fashion — the "virtual mall" breadth it has used as positioning for two decades. As an A.L.M-operated channel, it also serves as the group's online front for appliance brands it imports.
Market position (named competitors)
In the Israeli electronics and computing retail map, P1000 sits well below the leaders. Per Olam's Electronics Answer Index (Edition 4), KSP is the clear category leader with roughly a 63% presence, while Last Price holds the highest AI-citation share among the deals-and-marketplace players and Machsanei Chashmal owns the big-appliance conversation. Ivory and Bug anchor the computing-specialist tier. Against that field, P1000 is a smaller, older marketplace whose closest conceptual peer is Last Price (deals, auctions, breadth) rather than the computing specialists — but with materially lower visibility, scale and citation share than any of the above.
Why it matters
P1000 is a useful marker of how Israel's first-generation online "virtual malls" have aged. Rather than scaling into a standalone e-commerce brand, it became a channel absorbed into a distressed appliance-import group whose valuation has fallen sharply and whose ownership has changed hands repeatedly. For anyone mapping the electronics-retail landscape, P1000's relevance is less as an independent competitor and more as a lens on the Mini Line / A.L.M group's health — and on how legacy auction-and-group-buy marketplaces are being squeezed by focused specialists (KSP, Ivory) and high-visibility deal platforms (Last Price).
Watch points
- Thin company-specific sourcing. The only hard public figures for P1000 itself are ~NIS 20M sales and ~20 staff at the 2020 takeover (Globes). There is no recent standalone revenue, traffic or market-share disclosure — treat scale as small but under-documented.
- Founding date is unresolved. The operator claims "since 1999," while on-site testimonials imply ~2005. Both are self-reported; no independent corporate-registry confirmation was located.
- Parent-group instability. P1000's fortunes track Mini Line / A.L.M, whose valuation fell from ~NIS 936M (2022) to ~NIS 200M (2025) amid the loss of Samsung distribution and ownership churn.
- Cancelled Shufersal deal. Shufersal's 2022 agreement to take 60% of Mini Line was blocked and abandoned — so, contrary to some reporting at the time, Shufersal does not own the group or P1000.
- Channel, not a chain. P1000 is an online marketplace operated within A.L.M; it is not itself a physical store network, and should not be conflated with the A.L.M branch chain.
- Low AI-citation visibility. P1000 does not register meaningfully in the Electronics Answer Index leaders; monitor whether the A.L.M relationship raises or dilutes its online presence.
FAQ
What is P1000?
P1000 (פי 1000 / "פי אלף") is a veteran Israeli online marketplace — a "virtual mall" — selling electronics, computers, appliances and general goods via fixed-price listings, public auctions and group-buying. It is based in Petach Tikva and has operated since around 1999–2005.
Who owns P1000?
It is privately held, run through the entity פי אלף שותפות מוגבלת, and since July 2020 operated inside the A.L.M electronics-retail chain of the Mini Line import group. As of 2025, Mini Line is held mainly by Avi Asher (~80%) with Bank Leumi's Lumi Partners (~20%). A 2022 Shufersal acquisition of the group was cancelled.
How does it compare to KSP?
It doesn't compete at the same level. KSP is the market leader in Israeli electronics/computing retail (~63% presence in the Electronics Answer Index); P1000 is a much smaller, breadth-first marketplace with far lower scale, visibility and citation share.
Is P1000 the same as A.L.M?
No. A.L.M is the physical electricity-and-electronics store chain (part of Mini Line); P1000 is the group's online marketplace channel that A.L.M has operated since 2020. They share ownership but are distinct brands.
