600+ Stores, Nike and Mango Franchises, and Israel's Largest Loyalty Program
Fox Group (פוקס, TASE: FOX), formally Fuchs-Wiesel Ltd., is Israel's largest fashion retailer — a conglomerate operating 600+ stores across 10+ countries, employing more than 14,500 people, and holding the Israeli franchise rights for Nike, Mango, Foot Locker, American Eagle, Aerie, The Children's Place, Free People, Anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters. Market capitalization approximately NIS 4.28 billion.
The company is controlled by Harel Wiesel (הראל ויזל), co-CEO and director, through Wizel Holdings (19.6%). Co-CEO and chairman is Avraham Fox (22.48%). The company is headquartered in Lod (לוד), near Ben Gurion Airport.
Origins: 1942
The company traces its origins to 1942 during the British Mandate as Trico Fox Ltd. (טריקו פוקס), a textile manufacturing operation. It evolved through the second half of the twentieth century from manufacturing into retail, opening its first Fox-branded fashion stores in the early 1990s.
In 2002, the company went public on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange as Fox-Wizel Ltd. The IPO gave Wiesel access to capital markets that fueled aggressive domestic and international expansion.
The Retail Platform
Fox Group operates across four segments:
Fashion and Home Fashion: The Fox brand (men's, women's, kids, babies), Fox Home (housewares, textiles), plus franchise operations for American Eagle, Aerie, Mango, The Children's Place, Free People, Anthropologie, and Urban Outfitters in Israel.
Atmosphere and Care Products: Laline (לליין) — the bath-and-body brand selling soaps, candles, oils, toiletries, baby products, and gifts. Laline operates as a standalone brand within the Fox Group.
Sports: Retail operation of Nike Israel, Foot Locker Israel, and Dream Sport stores.
Others: Terminal X (online fashion platform), Yanga, Shilav (children's products, 70% owned), and international Fox stores.
Fox Group holds the largest loyalty program membership in Israel — a customer database that gives the company data-driven advantages in merchandising, pricing, and marketing across all its brands.
Harel Wiesel
Harel Wiesel is the controlling shareholder and operational architect of Fox Group. Born in Israel, married with three children. He took the company from a domestic textile operation to an international multi-brand retail conglomerate. In 2006, he made the strategic decision to diversify beyond fashion — adding home goods, sports retail, beauty, and franchise operations for global brands.
The diversification strategy proved structurally sound: by operating as the Israeli franchisee for global brands like Nike and Mango, Fox captures the margin between global brand equity and local retail execution — without bearing the brand-building costs.
Wiesel is also bringing Jumbo — the Greek discount home-and-toy chain — to Israel, with plans for 8–10 stores of approximately 10,000 square meters each, at an estimated investment of NIS 110 million over three years.
International Presence
Fox operates stores in Israel, Russia, Singapore, China, India, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Thailand, Panama, Canada, and Cyprus. The international Fox brand stores sell the company's own fashion lines. Through its subsidiary Retailors, the group also operates franchise stores for global brands in international markets.
