EMG Pipeline (Egypt-Israel)

subsea pipeline

The 90 km El Arish-Ashkelon pipeline, originally built to import Egyptian gas, reversed in 2020 to export Israeli gas to Egypt. Operated by EMED Nile Gas / EMG.

Why it matters\n\nThe physical artery. Capacity expansion debates, security risk (the pipeline was bombed repeatedly post-2011), and ownership disputes (EMG's legal history) all matter to flow assumptions. Israel-to-Egypt capacity caps how much can flow on to European LNG.
