Cairo-based forum (Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Palestinian Authority, France) coordinating East Med gas development. Stood up 2019; full IGO status 2020.

Why it matters\n\nThe only multilateral institution where Israel sits as a peer with Arab energy ministries. Its working groups (gas industry advisory committee, regulatory affairs) produce the technical scaffolding for cross-border infrastructure.
