Editorial Policy

How The Olam reports, sources, and discloses.

The Olam is an intelligence platform for the global Jewish business economy — covering defense, capital, AI, cyber, venture, aliyah, real estate, and the geopolitical architecture connecting Israel to family offices, sovereign buyers, and Jewish capital worldwide.

Ownership and Disclosure

The Olam is published by Olam Media LLC. Editorial coverage is produced by people active in and around the global Jewish business economy, which gives the publication practitioner insight outside observers cannot replicate. We hold to a clear set of standards that keep editorial coverage separate from commercial interest:

  • Coverage involving any company in which The Olam's owner, editors, or contributors hold a financial or advisory interest is disclosed within the article.
  • Research produced jointly with an outside firm is attributed to that firm on the study.
  • Funds, family offices, agencies, founders, and government bodies are held to the same editorial standard regardless of relationship to The Olam.
  • Commentary, op-eds, and perspective pieces carry a visible author byline and are distinguished from news coverage.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made by The Olam editorial team. No advertiser, sponsor, research partner, subject of coverage, or affiliated entity reviews or approves articles before publication, determines which companies receive coverage, or directs editorial conclusions. Where coverage involves a related party, the relationship is disclosed within the relevant article.

Sources and Sourcing

The Olam coverage draws on direct reporting and interviews with practitioners; primary sources including SEC and ISA filings, government registries, court documents, defense procurement records, and regulatory disclosures; industry research, with attribution; trade press, attributed to the originating publication; and press releases and corporate communications, identified as such. Where The Olam extends a source to a new conclusion, that extension is identified. Where figures are estimates rather than disclosed data, they are labeled as estimates.

Corrections

When The Olam publishes a factual error, the correction is made in the affected article and noted at the bottom; substantial corrections are also noted at the top. Corrections are not silent edits. To report a factual error, email corrections@olam.business with the article URL and the specific issue. See our Corrections Policy.

Sponsored Content and Advertising

The Olam does not publish sponsored content, native advertising, or pay-to-play articles disguised as editorial coverage. Any commercial placement on the site is labeled "Sponsored," "Advertisement," or equivalent, in compliance with applicable FTC and ISA guidance. Directory listings, research sponsorships, and partnership placements are disclosed where they appear.

Use of AI in Editorial Production

The Olam uses AI tools to assist with research, drafting, fact-checking, entity reconciliation, and production. Every article is reviewed, edited, and approved by a human editor or author before publication. AI is used as an editorial production tool — not as an editorial authority.

Contributor Attribution

Articles are attributed either to The Olam Editorial Team — the staff byline for news, analysis, and structured research — or to a named author for signed op-eds, research, and byline pieces. Named authors have biographical information on their author pages.
