Qumra Capital is the Herzliya-headquartered Israeli late-stage growth fund co-founded 2014 by Boaz Dinte and Erez Shachar. Pre-IPO growth-equity seat. Portfolio: Fiverr, JFrog, Riskified, AppsFlyer, ironSource, Talkspace.

Qumra Capital is the Herzliya-headquartered Israeli late-stage growth-equity fund co-founded by Boaz Dinte and Erez Shachar in 2014. Qumra operates a specific seat in the Israeli venture stack that few Israeli funds compete for: the last institutional round before a public listing or a major strategic sale. Portfolio companies have included Fiverr (NYSE: FVRR), JFrog (NASDAQ: FROG), Riskified (NYSE: RSKD), AppsFlyer, ironSource, and Talkspace (NASDAQ: TALK) — a portfolio composed almost entirely of companies that either went public or reached exit valuations that repriced the Israeli venture market's understanding of what a late-stage Israeli position can produce.

What Qumra does

Qumra writes late-stage checks — Series C, Series D, and pre-IPO growth rounds — into Israeli technology companies with proven commercial scale. The fund does not do seed, does not do Series A, and does not compete with early-stage Israeli funds for founder-selection work. Its role begins after the founder-market-fit risk is retired, at the stage when the question shifts from "will this work" to "how large can this be."

The seat is structurally scarce in Israel. Most Israeli institutional venture capital is concentrated in seed and Series A funds. Late-stage Israeli rounds have historically been funded by US growth investors — Insight, Tiger Global, General Atlantic, Coatue — with limited Israeli-anchored institutional presence in those rounds. Qumra is one of the small number of Israeli-headquartered funds with the check size and dedicated mandate to lead or co-lead at that stage.

Founders

Boaz Dinte and Erez Shachar co-founded Qumra in 2014. Both bring investment backgrounds from earlier Israeli venture platforms — Shachar previously as managing partner at Evergreen Venture Partners, one of the earlier-generation Israeli VC houses. The 2014 founding placed Qumra ahead of the late-stage-focus wave, giving the fund a first-mover position in the specific late-stage-Israeli-anchored seat it occupies.

Portfolio

Fiverr (NYSE: FVRR) — Freelance-services marketplace. Israeli-founded by Micha Kaufman and Shai Wininger. IPO 2019.

JFrog (NASDAQ: FROG) — DevOps binary repository management. Israeli-founded by Shlomi Ben Haim, Yoav Landman, and Fred Simon. IPO 2020.

Riskified (NYSE: RSKD) — E-commerce fraud prevention. Israeli-founded. IPO 2021.

AppsFlyer — Mobile attribution and marketing analytics. Israeli-founded. Private, unicorn-tier valuation.

ironSource — App monetization. Merged with Unity Software 2022 in an all-stock transaction.

Talkspace (NASDAQ: TALK) — Digital mental-health platform. Israeli-founded. Public via SPAC 2021.

Position in the Israeli venture stack

Qumra sits in the pre-IPO growth-equity seat inside the Israeli venture stack. Its differentiation from US growth investors sitting in the same rounds is not check size — US funds write larger checks — but Israeli-market knowledge, operator-network density inside Israel, and continuity across Israeli founder relationships across multiple companies. A founder taking a Qumra check at Series C is often working with a partner who has known the Israeli founder ecosystem for two decades and holds relationships across every prior generation of Israeli exit outcomes.

The seat is also increasingly important structurally. As Israeli companies stay private longer and require more capital before an IPO or exit event, the late-stage growth round has become the pivotal round — the one that determines whether the company reaches full category leadership or gets acquired at a mid-tier valuation. Qumra's dedicated mandate to that round gives Israeli founders an anchor-investor option that keeps Israeli institutional voice in the boardroom at that stage.
