Olam.business original research: a sample of seven Israeli and Israeli-founded companies reported 11,277 U.S. employees at the end of 2025, per annual filings.

In a sample of seven publicly traded Israeli and Israeli-founded companies, 11,277 employees were located in the United States at the end of 2025, according to original Olam.business research based on annual filings. Teva (4,613) and Elbit Systems (3,267) account for nearly 70% of the sample. This is a sample, not a national count.

The study examines a selected sample of companies that disclose U.S.-specific workforce figures in their annual reports. It is not a comprehensive survey of Israeli businesses operating in America, nor does it establish which Israeli companies employ the most Americans nationwide.

The findings nevertheless illustrate the breadth of Israel's economic relationship with the United States. Beyond software development and cybersecurity, Israeli businesses employ Americans in pharmaceutical manufacturing, defense technology, semiconductor production, specialty chemicals, renewable energy and industrial printing.

The seven companies in the sample (Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, Elbit Systems, Tower Semiconductor, ICL Group, Wix, SolarEdge and Kornit Digital) provide a documented snapshot of this employment footprint.

Which Israeli Companies Employ Americans? The 2025 Sample

Research limitation: These seven companies were selected because their public filings disclose identifiable U.S. employment figures. The table ranks only the companies included in the sample. It should not be interpreted as a ranking of all Israeli companies operating in the United States.

Teva: More Than 4,600 American Employees

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries reported 4,613 U.S. employees at the end of 2025, making it the largest American employer in Olam's selected sample.

The pharmaceutical company operates globally, with employees involved in research, manufacturing, commercial operations and supporting functions. Teva's American workforce has declined over the past several years.

That represents a reduction of 825 employees, or approximately 15.2%, between 2023 and 2025. Teva's filing connects its 2025 workforce reductions to company transformation initiatives. Despite the decline, Teva remains a substantial example of an Israeli business employing thousands of Americans.

Elbit Systems: A Major American Defense Employer

Elbit Systems reported 3,267 U.S. employees at the end of 2025. The Israeli defense technology company maintains significant American operations serving defense and security markets. Its global workforce reached 20,537 employees in 2025.

Elbit's U.S. workforce declined approximately 7.9% between 2023 and 2025, even as its worldwide employment increased. This demonstrates an important distinction: global expansion by an Israeli company does not necessarily translate into increasing American employment every year.

Together, Teva and Elbit reported 7,880 U.S. employees at the end of 2025. That represents nearly 70% of the American employment documented in Olam's seven-company sample.

Tower Semiconductor: More Employees in America Than Israel

One of the study's most notable findings concerns Tower Semiconductor. The Israeli semiconductor manufacturer reported 1,586 American employees at the end of 2025, compared with 1,296 employees in Israel. The company's workforce also included 2,398 employees in Japan and 36 employees in other countries.

Tower's total global workforce stood at 5,316, so the United States accounted for approximately 29.8% of its worldwide employment.

Unlike some Israeli technology businesses whose American operations are concentrated in sales and customer support, Tower operates in the capital-intensive semiconductor manufacturing industry. Its employment distribution illustrates how Israeli businesses can develop substantial operating footprints outside their home market.

Tower's U.S. workforce also increased from 1,492 employees in 2024 to 1,586 in 2025, approximately 6.3% annual growth.

ICL: An American Workforce of More Than 800

ICL Group, the Israeli specialty chemicals and minerals company, reported 821 employees in the United States at the end of 2025. The company operates internationally across industrial products, agricultural inputs and related chemical markets.

YearU.S. employees

2025821

The 2025 figure represents a decline of approximately 3.8% from the previous year. ICL's inclusion in the sample is significant because it demonstrates that the Israeli-American employment relationship extends beyond high-profile technology and defense businesses. Industrial companies also contribute to the American employment footprint.

Wix: 525 American Employees

Wix, the Israeli-founded website development and software company, reported 525 employees in the United States at the end of 2025. That figure was unchanged from 2024.

The company employed 4,622 people worldwide at year-end 2025, excluding separately reported contractors. Its American workforce represented approximately 11.4% of global employees. Wix maintains American offices in New York City, Miami and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, according to its annual filing.

The company's presence illustrates another dimension of Israeli business activity in America: software companies establish American teams to support commercial operations, customers and technology development.

SolarEdge: American Employment Increased

SolarEdge Technologies reported 355 U.S. employees in 2025, compared with 336 in 2024, approximately 5.7% growth. The increase occurred while the company's worldwide workforce declined from 3,961 employees to 3,576.

SolarEdge therefore provides a contrasting employment trend within the sample. While some Israeli businesses reduced their American headcounts, SolarEdge expanded its reported U.S. workforce. The company's activities in solar energy and power technology also illustrate the range of industries represented by Israeli-founded businesses operating in America.

Kornit Digital: American Operations in Industrial Printing

Kornit Digital reported 110 American employees at the end of 2025. The Israeli digital textile printing technology company employed 633 people worldwide. Its geographic workforce distribution included:

  • Israel: 359 employees.
  • United States: 110 employees.
  • Europe: 125 employees.
  • Asia-Pacific: 39 employees.

The United States accounted for approximately 17.4% of Kornit's global workforce. Although smaller than the other companies in the sample, Kornit demonstrates that Israeli businesses maintain American employment across specialized industrial technology markets.

What Are the Five Findings From the Olam Sample?

1. Seven sampled companies, 11,000+ U.S. employees

The selected businesses reported 11,277 U.S. employees at the end of 2025. This is a documented sample total, not an estimate of overall Israeli business employment in the United States.

2. Pharma and defense dominate the sample

Teva and Elbit collectively employed 7,880 Americans, approximately 69.9% of the sample total. Their substantial workforces illustrate the importance of established industrial businesses alongside newer technology companies.

3. Israeli companies can employ more Americans than Israelis

Tower Semiconductor reported 1,586 U.S. employees compared with 1,296 in Israel. This illustrates how internationally operating Israeli companies can develop employment bases larger than their domestic workforces in individual overseas markets.

4. American employment trends vary significantly

Tower Semiconductor and SolarEdge reported increasing American employment in 2025. Wix maintained its U.S. headcount. Teva, Elbit, ICL and Kornit reported declines. The findings suggest that company-specific circumstances matter more than any single narrative about Israeli businesses expanding or contracting in America.

5. Public disclosures leave the full footprint unknown

A number of major Israeli companies report worldwide employment without separately identifying their U.S. workforces. Others combine American employees with workers elsewhere in North and South America.

Consequently, the actual number of Americans employed by Israeli and Israeli-founded businesses is larger than the total documented in this sample, but the full figure cannot be established from it.

Why Does Israeli Employment in America Matter?

The commercial relationship between Israel and the United States is often described through investment, venture capital, acquisitions and technology exports. Employment provides another measurable dimension.

American workers employed by Israeli businesses participate in industries ranging from medicine and defense to advanced manufacturing and software. These companies also maintain offices, production facilities, supplier relationships and commercial operations in American communities.

However, direct employment should not be confused with total economic impact. The 11,277 positions documented in this sample do not include estimated indirect employment, supplier jobs or jobs supported through consumer spending. Those additional effects would require a separate economic impact analysis.

The Bigger Picture

The seven companies in Olam.business's sample demonstrate that Israeli businesses maintain a meaningful American employment presence across multiple industries.

The research also highlights the limitations of publicly available workforce data. Some companies disclose precise U.S. employment figures. Others report broader geographic regions or global totals. A comprehensive national estimate would require a much larger company universe, standardized reporting definitions and additional disclosures.

For now, the documented findings provide a measurable starting point. Across just seven selected Israeli and Israeli-founded companies, 11,277 people were employed in the United States at the end of 2025. That is a significant employment footprint, and only a partial view of the wider Israeli-American business relationship.

Research Methodology

This original Olam.business study examines a sample of seven publicly traded Israeli or Israeli-founded companies. The analysis uses workforce information disclosed in annual reports covering the fiscal year ended December 31, 2025.

Companies were included when their filings provided a separately identifiable U.S. employee headcount. The reported figures represent company-disclosed employment at year-end rather than annual average employment. Contractors were excluded where separately identified.

The study does not attempt to measure indirect employment, total economic output, taxes generated or the complete employment footprint of Israeli businesses in America. The sample is not statistically representative, and its rankings apply only to the seven companies examined. Companies reporting only worldwide or Americas-wide employment were excluded from the numerical total.

The research reflects publicly available corporate disclosures reviewed as of November 3, 2026.
