Cellebrite
Israeli digital-intelligence company (Nasdaq: CLBT) specializing in mobile-device forensics, lawful-intercept data extraction, and digital-evidence management for law enforcement and intelligence agencies worldwide.
Cellebrite (Nasdaq: CLBT) is an Israeli digital-intelligence company headquartered in Petah Tikva, specializing in mobile-device forensics, lawful-intercept data extraction, and digital-evidence management solutions. The company's Universal Forensic Extraction Device (UFED) is the industry-standard tool used by law enforcement and intelligence agencies in over 150 countries.
Founded in 1999 as a subsidiary of Japan's Sun Corporation, Cellebrite pivoted to digital forensics in the mid-2000s as smartphones became central to criminal investigations. The company gained global visibility through its reported role in the 2016 FBI–Apple dispute.
Cellebrite went public on Nasdaq in August 2021 via a SPAC merger (valuing the company at approximately $2.4 billion). The company generates the majority of its revenue from recurring SaaS-model subscriptions for its digital-intelligence platform.
The company operates in a category adjacent to — but distinct from — the Israeli offensive-cyber sector (NSO Group, Paragon, Candiru). Cellebrite's tools are classified as forensic and lawful-intercept rather than offensive-surveillance. Israeli export controls apply through DECA.
