The Israeli-American CEO Who Turned a Textile Manufacturer Into a $2.1 Billion Global Apparel Platform

Isaac Dabah (יצחק דבח) is the CEO, director, and controlling shareholder of Delta Galil Industries (TASE: DELG), holding 49.21% of the company through GMM Capital and the Dabah Family Trust. Under his leadership since 2007, Delta Galil has grown from a private-label textile manufacturer into a $2.12 billion global apparel platform with 25,000 employees, manufacturing across Israel, Egypt, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Turkey, China, and the UK.

Before Delta Galil

Dabah is an Israeli-American businessman. Through GMM Capital, he acquired the controlling stake in Delta Galil in 2007 from the estate structure left by co-founder Dov Lautman (דב לאוטמן) — one of Israel's most prominent industrialists, who had founded the company in 1975 alongside Eliezer Peleg.

The chairman of the board is Noam Lautman (9.78%), Dov Lautman's son — maintaining the founding family's presence in governance while Dabah runs operations.

The Transformation

When Dabah took control, Delta Galil was primarily a private-label manufacturer — making underwear, socks, and basic apparel for other brands. The company's competitive advantage was vertically integrated production, from fabric to finished garment, at scale. But it captured none of the brand value.

Dabah's strategy: acquire brands, build direct-to-consumer channels, and shift the revenue mix from commodity manufacturing toward branded and DTC sales.

Key acquisitions: 7 For All Mankind (premium denim brand), Bare Necessities (online intimates retailer), Eminence (French underwear brand). The company's body-before-fabric® design philosophy — engineering garments around body movement rather than traditional pattern-cutting — became the platform identity across seamless intimates, performance underwear, and activewear.

DTC sales of owned brands have grown at double-digit rates for 12 consecutive quarters through 2025. Own-web sales (excluding Bare Necessities) rose 27% in Q4 2025.

The Egyptian Manufacturing Hub

Dabah has built Egypt into Delta Galil's strategic manufacturing hub — citing low tariffs and duty-free access to US markets as competitive advantages amid rising tariff pressures. The Egyptian operations (through subsidiaries Deltx Textile Egypt and Delta Textile Upper Egypt) are generating increasing demand from global customers seeking tariff-advantaged sourcing.

Financial Record

2025: Record revenue $2.12 billion (+4% YoY). Gross profit $837.8M. DTC +15%.
Q1 2026: Record $573 million (+15% YoY). Gross margin 41.7%. EBIT record $36.6M.
2026 guidance: Revenue $2.29–$2.33B. EBIT $204–$212M.
Dividend: $10 million declared Q4 2025.
