Israeli-founded digital-asset infrastructure company providing institutional crypto custody, settlement, and transfer services using multi-party computation for key management, headquartered in New York with engineering in Tel Aviv.

Fireblocks is an Israeli-founded digital-asset infrastructure company providing institutional-grade custody, settlement, and transfer services for crypto assets, tokenized securities, and stablecoins. The firm operates a New York commercial headquarters with primary engineering in Tel Aviv. Fireblocks was founded in 2018 by Michael Shaulov (CEO), Idan Ofrat (CTO), and Pavel Berengoltz, all veterans of the Check Point CTO office and earlier of Israel's signals-intelligence services.

The company is best known for its use of multi-party computation (MPC) in place of traditional hardware security modules for key management. The architecture eliminates the single-private-key vulnerability that has historically driven the largest crypto custody losses and is the technical foundation Fireblocks markets to banks, brokers, exchanges, and asset managers.

Fireblocks reached a $8 billion valuation in a January 2022 Series E round led by D1 Capital Partners, Spark Capital, Index Ventures, General Atlantic, Mubadala Capital, and CapitalG. The investor base spans crossover growth funds, sovereign-adjacent vehicles, and crypto-native firms.

The platform serves a client base that includes BNY Mellon, BNP Paribas, Revolut, Galaxy Digital, eToro, and large stablecoin issuers. Fireblocks is the anchor name in the Israeli digital-asset infrastructure cohort that also includes StarkWare, GK8 (acquired by Galaxy Digital in 2022), Curv (acquired by Coinbase in 2021), and Kima Finance.
