Every Hevra B.M., partnership, and cooperative in Israel is incorporated and maintained through the Rasham HaChavarot — the Registrar of Companies, a division of the Ministry of Justice. The registry is publicly searchable: anyone can pull a company's formation date, registered address, directors, shareholders, and filing history. For foreign investors conducting due diligence on Israeli targets, the Registrar is the first stop — the Israeli equivalent of a Delaware franchise-tax filing combined with a Companies House search. The Registrar also processes mergers, dissolutions, and charges (liens) on company assets, making it the single source of truth for Israeli corporate existence and encumbrance.
