Hailo is an Israeli AI processor company founded in 2017 by Orr Danon, Hadar Zeitlin, and Avi Baum. The company designs purpose-built AI inference chips for edge devices — automotive, industrial, security, and consumer hardware — where power, cost, and latency constraints make data-center GPUs impractical.

The Hailo-8 and successor Hailo-15 processors are deployed in commercial automotive platforms, edge video analytics systems, smart cameras, and industrial machine-vision applications. The company has raised over $500 million from investors including Poalim Equity, Macnica, NEC, and OurCrowd, and reached unicorn valuation in 2024.

Hailo competes in the edge AI inference market alongside Ambarella, Nvidia Jetson, Google Coral, and Qualcomm AI processors. The company represents the Israeli AI silicon layer's expansion beyond the data-center exits (Annapurna, Habana, Run:ai) into specialized edge-inference silicon that remains independent.
