The university-owned commercial arm that files patents on faculty research, licenses IP, and takes equity in spinouts. Yeda (Weizmann), Yissum (Hebrew U), Ramot (TAU), T3 (Technion), BGN (BGU).

Why it matters\n\nThe TTOs are the structural bridge between Israeli academic research and the Israeli venture ecosystem. Their royalty income (Yeda hit $1.5bn+ on Copaxone alone) also funds basic research.
