Sentrycs is an Israeli counter-drone (C-UAS) company founded in 2017 in Petah Tikva. The company built a protocol-manipulation counter-UAS platform that detects, tracks, identifies, and takes control of hostile drones by exploiting the radio-frequency communication protocols those drones use with their operators — without relying on kinetic interception or broad-spectrum RF jamming.
The non-jamming approach matters operationally: kinetic and RF-jamming counter-drone systems generate collateral interference and friendly-fire risk in dense civilian environments. Sentrycs' protocol-control architecture is designed to operate at airports, stadiums, and critical infrastructure without disrupting GPS, Wi-Fi, or other co-located RF systems.
The company was acquired by Ondas Holdings (Nasdaq: ONDS) for a reported $225 million in 2024, in one of the higher-profile Israeli counter-drone exits of the post-October 7 cycle. The acquisition expanded Ondas's autonomous-systems business and gave Sentrycs's protocol-control platform a US public-company distribution route.
