Run:ai is an Israeli AI infrastructure company founded in 2018 by Omri Geller and Ronen Dar. It built a Kubernetes-native compute-orchestration platform that schedules and pools GPU resources across distributed AI training and inference workloads.
The company was acquired by Nvidia in April 2024 for a reported $700 million. Following the acquisition, Nvidia open-sourced the Run:ai scheduler under the Apache 2.0 license, positioning the technology as a complement to its DGX and CUDA ecosystem.
Run:ai represents one of the highest-profile Israeli AI infrastructure exits of the post-ChatGPT cycle, alongside Habana Labs (Intel, 2019, $2B) and Annapurna Labs (AWS, 2015). Together these three exits demonstrate that the Israeli AI silicon and orchestration layer has produced acquired infrastructure assets inside every major US hyperscaler.
