Karish Field
An offshore Israeli natural gas field operated by Energean in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Karish is an offshore natural gas field in Israel's Exclusive Economic Zone in the Eastern Mediterranean, developed by the London-listed operator Energean and brought online in 2022 via a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. Alongside the larger Tamar and Leviathan fields, Karish is a pillar of Israel's transformation into a natural-gas exporter and a component of Eastern Mediterranean energy geopolitics, including gas flows to Egypt and Jordan. Its development also became entangled in the 2022 Israel–Lebanon maritime boundary agreement, which delineated rights over nearby waters.
