WEKA is an Israeli AI storage infrastructure company founded in 2013 by Liran Zvibel, Maor Ben Dayan, and Omri Palmon. The company built a software-defined parallel file system designed for the bandwidth and IOPS profile of GPU-based AI training workloads.

WEKA sells its data platform to enterprises and AI cloud providers that need to feed data into large GPU clusters without the I/O bottlenecks of traditional NAS or object storage. Customers include major hyperscalers, sovereign-cloud operators, and pharmaceutical and life-sciences companies running large-scale model training and inference.

The company raised a $140 million Series E in 2024 at a reported $1.6 billion valuation led by Valor Equity Partners and Nvidia, formally placing WEKA in the unicorn cohort of the Israeli AI infrastructure layer alongside Run:ai (acquired by Nvidia 2024) and NextSilicon.
