Phoenix sits inside the top-five Israeli insurance and long-term-savings cluster alongside Migdal, Clal, Harel, and Menora Mivtachim. The group operates a more pronounced asset-management franchise than several of its peers and has been the subject of repeated cross-border investor interest, including a private-equity ownership chapter that defined a significant period of Phoenix's recent history.
As with the broader top-five cluster, Phoenix's institutional weight comes from the long-duration savings pools the group administers. Phoenix is a principal Israeli institutional buyer of domestic sovereign debt, Israeli equity, and the growing overseas allocations Israeli pensions now run.
